Adios ! Storyteller…

With a rather intriguing title, we bid you farewell to a better world. Your musical prowess is well known and we are nowhere near to the authority to make remarks on that. But yes, when we fell in love for first time, we heard you telling tales of our hearts. When we kissed, broke our hearts, lost to the world, hoped to conquer it someday, it was you every time telling our tales…exactly how we felt through your high and low notes.

You sang stories of our jubilation, our depression, our friendship and our sentiments which even we were not aware we had. And when we heard you, we heard echoes of our own subconscious. There goes not a day since you left, when we realize a song or two were actually sung by you, while we liked it throughout without even wondering who sang it.

This world is becoming crazier day by day Sir. While there is abundance all around, there lie immense hollowness within us which only an honest artist like you could have made melodious. But as one learns and grows learning the inevitability and uncertainty of death, there is some solace in the fact that you kept performing till the very last breath of yours. There can’t be a more glorifying closure for an artist of your caliber.

As you mark a new journey to a bigger stage, a bigger audience and a better world, all we have is your own song to gift you as a parting gift. Thanks KK. You will be dearly missed through all our forthcoming moments of lives which you won’t tell the stories of.

उड़ जाये लेके ख़ुशी ,
