Well, this one is bit tricky. They say we should not judge a book by its cover. But what makes a book cover? A picture. Few Words. Few fonts. And aren’t they all art in themselves. A cover is the first date one has with the book. How can one be refrain from not having a judgement on it.
They also say a picture says 1,000 words. And if we negate the picture on the book cover, aren’t we negating the 1,000 words that metaphorically are part of the book itself? It happens so many times we tend to buy a book without any clue just by seeing the book cover itself.
Perhaps the answer lies in the fact are the book cover and the book are two different pieces of art that compliment each other. You can hate a book cover yet love the book. You can hate the book cover yet love the book.
