Unadorned memories, unsettled tears,
A helpless, silent witness appears!
These eyes have seen a thousand dreams,
Castles of hope, fleeting streams.
Built and broken on shifting sands,
Life’s river flowing past its lands.
The first rain’s fragrance fills the air,
Paper boats set sail with care.
Mother’s voice at twilight’s gleam,
Fairground strolls with Dad, a dream!
My eyes held dreams, so vast, so true,
A home of love, a world so new.
Hand in hand, I walked with trust,
A life of joy, of tears, of dust.
Time, like strangers, walked away,
Leaving echoes in its sway.
Laughter, sorrow—mirage in sight,
Here today, lost in the night.
A weary soldier, battle-worn,
Scarred by life, by struggles torn.
Tears have paved the road I tread,
A bed of silence where I rest.
Dewdrops glisten, cold and true,
In misted visions, lost from view.
Unadorned memories, unsettled tears,
A helpless, silent witness appears…
