Everyone struggles with questions that persistently occupy their minds for which answers may or may not come easily. For me, one such recurring question is “why should we travel?”
Since the beginning of civilization, we the humans have been wanderers. From the nomadic tribes of ancient times to the travel influencer of today, travel has been integral to our evolution. Travel has been the catalyst for the collision and fusion of cultures, the evolution of languages, and the discovery of the diversity of world cuisines. Travel is the medium how the humans have shared the knowledge that they possess in order to grow more.
Traveling is a journey of self-awareness and personal growth, not just a means of moving across maps. By stepping beyond our comfort zones, we learn to love the strange and become receptive to fresh perspectives. Every experience, whether it is with the breathtaking beauty of nature, various cultures, or thrilling experiences, makes a lasting impression on our souls.

The driving forces behind travel are as wide-ranging as the individual themselves. Some may find it in travel; others may find it in the enjoyment of fine food, the arts, other cultures, or the pursuit of adventure.
“Not everything is taught in classrooms,” as I once heard, strikes a chord with me when it comes to travel. My response to the question “mountain” or “beach” is always anyplace I haven’t yet visited, be it a snow-covered tall mountain, dessert or a beach.
Weaving memories into the fabric of life’s story and adding the many shades of our experiences into it is what travel does for us.
In the end, accepting the journey itself is more important than just looking for answers to the question of why we should travel. It’s about stepping outside of our comfort zones, welcoming change, and appreciating the remarkable diversity of our world.
Thus, we should travel often be it alone or with family or friends, but we should plan to see something that we haven’t seen yet the experience that we haven’t gain yet because
“To travel is to live.”
