Echoes of Bonds

In childhood’s land, two friends once roamed;
Their laughter like a song, so warmly intoned.
Hand in hand, they danced through fields;
Their bond a treasure, their hearts revealed.

Through sunny days and starlit nights,
They painted memories, pure delights;
Their dreams entwined, their spirits soared;
In each other’s company, they adored.

But time’s swift currents, they do decree;
A path diverged, a destiny free;
One chose the road less traveled by,
In search of treasures that caught the eye.

The other stayed, rooted in the past;
In childhood’s joys, they found their mast.
Their dreams remained, unchanged and true;
In familiar paths, they wandered through.

As seasons turned and years unfurled,
The gap between them, wider hurled;
Their laughter faded, echoes lost;
In the silence, a heavy cost.

The friend who wandered, far and wide;
Found riches vast, yet loneliness sighed.
For in the glimmer of newfound fame,
The heart still yearned for the old flame.

While the other, in simplicity’s embrace;
Found solace in a familiar place.
But in the quiet, shadows loomed;
As memories of the past consumed.

Yet fate, in its ever-turning hand.
Guided them back to where they’d stand.
In the twilight of their separate ways;
They met again, with hearts ablaze.

For in the journey, they came to learn,
The worth of bonds that time did churn.
Their friendship tested, yet never lost!
In the tempest, at great cost.

And so they stood, beneath the sky.
Two souls entwined, as days gone by.
In the duality of joy and pain,
Their friendship blossomed, once again.

For in the journey, they found the key;
To cherish bonds that set them free.
Through twists and turns, they came to see;
Their friendship’s strength, eternally….
