There once was a boy who kept his distance,
Afraid of getting hurt, he kept his resistance.
Attachments and bonds, he didn’t dare make,
For fear of heartbreak, his soul couldn’t take.
He walked through life with caution and care,
Building walls around him, a fortress to bear.
Past wounds had left him feeling so sore,
So he avoided connections, forevermore.
But deep inside, a longing did reside,
For love and friendship, he couldn’t hide.
He craved the warmth of a caring touch,
Yet worried it might hurt him too much.
Oh, dear boy, don’t let fear dictate,
Take a chance, don’t let opportunities wait.
Attachments can bring joy and delight,
And fill your world with colors so bright.
Though it feels scary, let your heart unfurl,
Let connections bring joy and mend what’s been hurled.
In vulnerability, you’ll find strength and might,
And discover a world that feels just right.
Embrace the risk, step forward with grace,
Let love guide you to a better place.
Release the fear that’s holding you back,
And watch as beautiful connections unpack.
Little by little, let your heart open wide,
And see how attachments can be your guide.
For in the embrace of bonds that are true,
You’ll find the love that’ll see you through.
