Sweat slicked me, climbing the chimney
Thought blood dropped from my elbow, but it was honey
I was running so fast
I even left behind a “flash”
Returning to street, I sense familiarity
Zooming the scene, I recognised something
There I see, a house with white shed
The similiar dolls, swords and my bed.
That the house, a home I called
The place where I cried and hauled
Every corner of which place I knew
That place felt strangely new.
Now, I don’t know who resides there
Whose lovely shoes mark dancing spheres
The toast, the tea and biscuit eaten
The favourite spot of mine taken.
The closet I made my another world
The windows which splattered light in dawn
I thought the wardrobe led to Narnia
Listening to stories of fairies and mafias.
Lullaby of mine was swung
My mom made that lovely rug
The chair which was my father’s dear
Now, it became my ugly fear
Planning and plotting and teaching me something new
An “ability” known by only a few
Being the strong, I lacked the courage
Who knew I’ll make my way to forest.
The fear of mine for being an ordinary
The sword which I failed to take out
My hollow cries near the body I feel
Were the only thing I know now
Is the only thing, I know now.

Geeta's Introduction : I'm Geeta Adhikari, my path of exploring my ability of pouring my feelings into a piece of paper started when I got to know about junk journalism, after that I wanted my own quotes and inspiration is none other than The Taylor Swift! At starting, I seriously lacked vocabulary but as time passed by poetry writing, song writing and writing basically became my best friend! ✨ I'm seriously looking forward to be known for my words.
