She was conflicted. All the time. A constant tug of war inside her mind. Was it between her heart and mind? No. It was her heart, her mind, her soul, her body, her logic, her experiences, her hopes, and her dreams. Can it still be called a tug of war? It was a battlefield. One that she has been a part of, from the time she understood what heart and mind and soul meant.
Every emotion inside her has been intense. Love deeply, feel deeply, fight with everything, cry like a baby, and finally hate wholeheartedly. Quick to love, quick to hate, quick to forgive, quick to forget all the pain. One moment, she’s drowning in pain, and the next moment, a small gesture of love would make her instantly smile.
She didn’t know how to be a mellow version of anything. She was a force of nature — loud, fierce, boundless. Unconfined by rules. Unshaken by traditions.
She questioned everything. Even as a child. The first time she stunned her mother, a deeply religious woman, was when she asked, “Who is God, and why should we believe in His existence?”
Imagine the horror of a mother who followed faith blindly.
“Because the Bible, our church, teaches us so,” her mother had said.
“Huh? What kind of answer was that?” Thus were sown the seeds of doubt. Of curiosity. Of never taking anything at face value.
But if she was this strong, this wild, this untamed — why was she still The Lost One?
