The song of divine longing

Do Gods too yearn for each other? Do they too long for the arrival of beloved just as mortals do? Perhaps when they acquire human form or incarnation, they also rise in the ambit of human emotions like pain, joy, loss and longing.

We are instrumentally presented with a city preparing for arrival of its revered Lord with bells and chants. Follows what the sweetest of sargam rendition and the celestial confession:

रघुवर तेरी राह निहारें
सातों जनम से सिया
घर मोरे परदेसिया
आओ पधारो पिया

Stomps then a rhythmic resonance that makes us dive deep into the divine urge to be together. The solace and pride in losing the track of senses in lieu of gem like name of Beloved. The eternal journey of a beloved for the beloved. The journey of a Lord for a Lord. Longing, despite being within each other. Longing, despite being each other! An innocent rebuke of not acknowledging the love. A charming angst of not understanding the love. The most effervescent complain, reaching its crescendo and we can’t stop our feet , mind and souls from tapping to this cosmic rhythm.
